The Gospel
The Gospel is God's Good News.
It's the story of his rescue mission to save people.
Here's the deal:
God is more holy, perfect, and pure than we could ever imagine. We are more sinful than we would ever admit. God had mercy and compassion on us and did this:
He sent Jesus who lived the life we should have lived and died the death that we should have died so that we could be reconciled to God and restored to relationship with him.
Jesus loved us so much that he died a sacrificial death in our place so that we could gain what the Bible calls eternal life. That's what's on offer in the gospel.
And that's good news.
