Membership
God has designed the church to function like a body. One of the keys to the body is that every member can count on the others – imagine what it would be like to walk if one of your feet took a two-month holiday. Your body works because all of the members help to make it work.
At CentrePoint, membership is about making the family work. A member is a person who says, “this is my family, and I’m going to give my time, my gifts and talents, and my financial resources to make it work.”
To become a member, you need to attend for at least three months so you have a chance to understand what we’re about. Then, you’ll need to attend a class called Discovering CentrePoint where we drink coffee (or tea) and talk about our church – who we are, where we’re going, and what it means to be a member. You’ll be given a Member’s Notebook. After reading the notebook, you will meet with one of our pastors to discuss the church, ask any questions, and confirm your place as a member.
